America is collapsing. What happens to Canada when it does?

October 30, 2018

thebigstory

This isn't about Donald Trump. Or at least, it's not just about him. The cracks and divisions in our southern neighbour grow deeper every day. It might have once seemed hyperbole to declare this the end of an empire, but the expert evidence is mounting and difficult to ignore.

So what happens now? Has the beacon of the free world already passed the point of no return? What would a new American civil war look like? And yes, that's a serious and necessary question. Just as importantly, what does Canada need to do to prepare? And what would our own country look like when our most trusted ally is no longer recognizable?
