Meet Bianca Andreescu. She's an 18-year-old from Mississauga, Ontario. Today, she's playing tennis. For a spot in the tournament finals. That tournament is Indian Wells, one of the biggest events on tour. She just smoked a two-time grand-slam champion, and nearly did it without losing a single game. She beat Venus Williams a few weeks ago. And Caroline Wozniacki, too. She has more wins in 2019 than anyone else on the WTA. Did we mention she's 18?
Where did she come from? Or even better, where do all of these Canadian tennis prodigies keep coming from? Because Andreescu is not the only one. There's a trio of teenagers who have spent the better part of the past year knocking off big names in the men's and women's game. So how'd they do it? And just how high can they fly?
