When we name a child, we're trying to give him or her a story that matters. That doesn't make it easy, but it makes it worth doing right. Elamin Abdelmahmoud of BuzzFeed is the author of a poignant letter to his infant daughter published in Maclean's. He tells us why it's ok to give a child a name that isn't easy, and what it means to carry a rich history packed into a couple dozen letters.
